Initial Project Inquiry
Provide the property location, proposed work, available photographs, sketches, surveys, existing drawings, and desired timing.
Our Process
The process is organized around a defined scope, reliable project information, timely client decisions, and coordination with the qualified consultants required for the work.

Provide the property location, proposed work, available photographs, sketches, surveys, existing drawings, and desired timing.
BuildCode Designs reviews the initial information and provides a project specific scope, fee, exclusions, anticipated schedule, and list of required inputs.
Available records, client information, and site measurements are used to document the existing construction to the extent included in the agreed scope.
The proposed work is developed into plans, elevations, sections, details, notes, and schedules appropriate to the project.
Where required, information from a Professional Engineer, surveyor, HVAC designer, energy advisor, or other qualified consultant is coordinated into the project documents. Each consultant remains responsible for their own professional work.
The client reviews the design information and confirms key decisions before the drawing package is finalized for the agreed submission purpose.
Application assistance and municipal comment responses may be provided when included in the BuildCode Designs project scope. The applicable municipality completes its own review and determines whether a permit will be issued.
Project Timing
An anticipated schedule is provided after the initial information is reviewed. The completion date and municipal review period can change as project conditions become clearer.
